a three bedroom, affordable house

Application deadline has been extended to June 1, 2009

 

This will be one of eight houses at Eliakim's Way at 250 State Road.  This house will be built with energy efficient building techniques and rooftop solar panels to approach zero net energy use.  This will be the first affordable housing development in the United States built to zero net energy standards.

You may qualify to buy this house if:

1.  You are a year-round resident with an annual family income between $24,540 and $65,440 (based on the median family income for a family of four; less for a smaller family, more for a larger family).

and

2.  You are willing to give 350-500 hours of sweat equity (based on family size) towards the construction of this house.

Anyone who qualifies may apply.  Families living in West Tisbury will receive first consideration.

 

Completed application accompanied by

$16 application fee ($32 for joint applicants) and

requested information must be postmarked by June 1, 2009
